Year 10 GCSE D&T Injection Moulding Project

Year 10 students have been exploring the injection molding process through a combination of CAD (Techsoft 2D Design software) and CAM.  They have learnt how to independently use the laser cutter and created moulds from acrylic before injecting with hot melted plastic.

 

Year 9 Storage Boxes

Year 9 students have produced some beautiful storage boxes using highly skilled rebate joints.         Look out for some lovely presents for Halloween, birthdays and Christmas!

Well done to all the year 7 Resistant Materials students who created some fabulous wooden push toys in recent weeks.  

 

Textiles Knit and Stitch Show Trip 2021

 Hi there, 

I am excited to say the Year 10/111/12 students from Art Textiles went last Friday to Alexander Palace to the Knit and Stitch show, an opportunity to see textile artists and their work. The trip was also to help everyone write up about artists after seeing it directly rather than on the internet or in a book. 

I think we were all very inspired by chatting to the artists and meeting them.
