Design Ventura

Year 9 design enthusiasts enjoyed a day in the Design Museum, London.  They took part in a museum workshop that supports the annual Design Ventura competition, where students are challenged to design a new product for the Design Museum Shop.  This offered our young people a chance to develop their design thinking, creative and business skills.

The group also enjoyed the Designer User Maker exhibition, finding out more about how today’s gadgets and products have evolved and also had a good look around the museum shop.

Our students’ thoughts:

Oscar: I had a lot of fun and I have more ideas for other projects.

Martino: I enjoyed my day and loved the Design Museum.

Elliot: It was very inspiring.

Zach: I learned a lot about design and it was a fun trip.

Archie: It was an interesting insight into the world of Product Design.

Bertie: It was very inspiring and gave me good ideas.

Ciara: It was fun and exciting.

Maya: I enjoyed the exhibition and thought the workshop was quite inspiring.
